Training Terms & Policies

MindAid Training is committed to providing high-quality Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) courses and MindAid Workshops in a safe, professional, and supportive environment. By enrolling in a MHFA course or MindAid workshop, you agree to the following terms and policies.

  1. Privacy Policy

We respect your privacy and are committed to protecting your personal information.

  • Information collected: When you enquire or enrol, we collect your name, contact details, and payment information. For accreditation purposes, we also provide participant details to Mental Health First Aid Australia.
  • How information is used: Your details are used only for the purposes of processing enrolments, delivering training, issuing accreditation, and providing course updates.
  • Storage and security: Personal information is stored securely and will not be shared with third parties, except as required by law or accreditation requirements.
  • Access and corrections: You may request access to, or correction of, your personal information at any time by contacting us at bookings@mindaidtraining.com.au
  1. Payments
  • MHFA for Individuals: Full payment is required at the time of booking to confirm your place. Payment is completed online via our secure payment system (Stripe).
  • MHFA for Businesses: Business bookings operate through an enquiry process. After submitting an enquiry, you will be contacted within 1 business day to confirm your needs and preferred dates. During this call, you will be provided with an instant secure payment link via Pinch to complete payment. Payment (or deposit for large groups) is required before your booking can be confirmed.
  • MindAid Workshops for Individuals: Full payment is required at the time of booking to confirm your place on the booking calender. Payment is completed online via our secure payment system (stripe) Online & Face to face offered 2026
  • MindAid Workshops for Groups: These Bookings operate through the enquiry process. After submitting an enquiry, you will be contacted within 1 business day to confirm your needs and preferred dates. Online & Face to face offered 2026
  1. Refunds & Cancellations

Individuals

  • More than 21 days before training – Full refund.
  • 14–21 days before training – 50% refund or option to reschedule within 12 months.
  • 7–14 days before training – Reschedule only within 12 months (no refund).
  • Less than 7 days before training – Non-refundable.
  • If Mind Aid Training cancels – Full refund or option to reschedule.

Participant substitutions are welcome at any time.

 Businesses

  • All cancellations can be rescheduled within 12 months, subject to availability.
  • If Mind Aid Training cancels – Full refund or option to reschedule.

  1. Transfers & Non-Attendance
  • Participants must attend all sessions in full to be eligible for accreditation by Mental Health First Aid Australia.
  • Non-attendance without prior notice, or arriving late, may result in being ineligible for accreditation and no refund will apply (for individuals).
  • Transfer requests for individuals are covered under the Refunds & Cancellations policy.
  1. General Terms of Enrolment
  • Accreditation: To be accredited as a Mental Health First Aider, participants must complete the full course and any required assessments set by Mental Health First Aid Australia. Accreditation is valid for 3 years.
  • Code of conduct: We ask all participants to engage respectfully and contribute to a safe, inclusive learning environment. Disruptive behaviour may result in removal from the course without refund.
  • Course changes: MindAid Training reserves the right to make changes to course dates, venues, or facilitators if required. Any significant changes will be communicated to participants as soon as possible.
  • Health and safety: By attending our training, you agree to follow all health, safety, and venue requirements in place at the time of delivery.
  1. Liability & Disclaimer
  • Mental Health First Aid training is not a substitute for professional medical, psychological, or emergency services.
  • MindAid Training Workshops are independently created and non-accredited, meaning they are not affiliated with or approved by Mental Health First Aid Australia and do not include or replicate MHFA course content — they focus solely on general mental health awareness and community education.
  • Participants are not trained counsellors or therapists and are expected to use their skills within the scope of a Mental Health First Aider.
  • MindAid Training is not liable for any misuse of skills or information provided during the course.
  1. Intellectual Property
  • All MHFA course content, including manuals, slides, and materials, is owned by Mental Health First Aid Australia.
  • Materials are provided for personal learning use only and must not be copied, shared, or distributed without permission.
  1. Business Group Booking Process

When you enquire about a business training package, the process is as follows:

  1. We’ll call you within 1 business day
    A Mind Aid Training team member will contact you to discuss your needs, confirm your preferred dates, and answer any questions.
  2. Secure your booking with safe payment
    During the call, you’ll be provided with an instant secure payment link via Pinch, our trusted payment system. This link allows you to safely complete payment online. As venue hire must be paid in advance, payment is required before your booking can be confirmed.
  3. Receive your booking confirmation
    Once payment is received, you will receive a booking confirmation email with all course details outlined.
  4. Submit participant details
    You’ll need to provide the names of all attendees as soon as possible so we can begin the registration process with Mental Health First Aid Australia.
  5. Large group bookings
    For larger groups, a 50% deposit can be accepted to hold your preferred date, with the remaining balance due within 7 days to finalise and confirm the booking.
